The Spongean Company is specialised in natural sponges since 1958 and today the third generation of the family is leading the company. We were approached by the company in order to create a premium packaging of high aesthetic standards, with the aim of successfully contributing to the demanding markets abroad.

Design

The design for this project was based on the following fundamental aspects.

The three-dimensional projection of the natural surroundings of the sponge; where it lives, grows and reproduces on the seabed.

The visualisation of the main properties of the natural sponge; the ecological and organic quality, the natural characteristics, the hypo allergic actions and the non-toxicity as a hygiene and pampering product.

For the fulfilment of the project we used the paper cut technique. Great emphasis was given to the forms of the 3D holes that needed to have organic and abstract shapes and at the same time had to look matching when the boxes are placed next to each other.
