The objective was to design a paper packaging with an emphasis on the purity and high quality of the product, as well as a reference to the beneficial properties of honey. The goal was to penetrate the product into the premium market in Germany.
Design
One of the more aesthetically pleasing sights in nature is the hexagonal structure constructed by bees to form the basis of their home – honeycomb.
That was the basic element that inspired the design development of the 3-dimensional packaging for the 2 varieties of honey.
To achieve this, in addition to the external paper box, an additional internal structure was designed. When folded in a specific way, it visually renders the hexagonal three-dimensional form.
